Fruit and Flax
Golden roasted flax adds a crunch to this summer fresh fruit salad.
Serves 4-6.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS
Fruit Mix
1 cup (250 ml) red or green grapes (sliced optional)
1 cup (250 ml) strawberries-sliced
1 medium sized apple (peeled and cut)
2 kiwis (peeled and cut)
1 banana (peeled and cut)
8 tbsp. (60g) roasted flax (milled or whole seed)
1 cup (250 ml) watermelon
Sauce
1 tbsp. (15 ml) brown sugar
3 tbsp. (45 ml) fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. (5 ml) cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
Mix brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in a small bowl
Set aside
Slice, dice and mix together all fruits
Drizzle sauce on fruit
Mix, top with milled golden roasted flaxseed and serve
You may serve this dessert with ice cream
