Fruit and Flax

Golden roasted flax adds a crunch to this summer fresh fruit salad. Serves 4-6. Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

    Fruit Mix

  • 1 cup (250 ml) red or green grapes (sliced optional)
  • 1 cup (250 ml) strawberries-sliced
  • 1 medium sized apple (peeled and cut)
  • 2 kiwis (peeled and cut)
  • 1 banana (peeled and cut)
  • 8 tbsp. (60g) roasted flax (milled or whole seed)
  • 1 cup (250 ml) watermelon
  • Sauce

  • 1 tbsp. (15 ml) brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp. (45 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. (5 ml) cinnamon

Directions

  • Mix brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in a small bowl
  • Set aside
  • Slice, dice and mix together all fruits
  • Drizzle sauce on fruit
  • Mix, top with milled golden roasted flaxseed and serve
  • You may serve this dessert with ice cream
