Roasted Flax-acado Tzatziki

Greek inspired dip with roasted flax seed that will earn the cook many compliments.

Serves 16. (1 serving= 2 tbsp.) Makes 2 cups.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium avocado, peeled, pitted and cubed
  • 2 (8 oz.) low-fat plain yogurt (or non-dairy yogurt)
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
  • 3 fresh garlic cloves
  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and grated
  • 1/4 cup (50 ml / 60g) CanMar Golden Roasted Flax

Directions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  • Serve as a condiment with sandwiches, fresh bread or assorted vegetables.
